Peninsula Private Hospital has cared for patients in the Peninsula region for the last 40 years.  

Since 1982 Peninsula Private Hospital has provided excellent progressive care to patients in our local community. Peninsula Private Hospital opened on the 12th of December 1982 as a 60-bed private hospital with two theatres and a six-bay recovery unit. In 1991 an obstetrics unit was added with 11 large private wards and a third theatre. The obstetric ward is now not functional and is converted into a Surgical ward catering to Surgical patient needs. 

Today Peninsula Private Hospital is a 70-bed facility located in Kippa-Ring with an exciting and challenging case mix. We are a leading hospital renowned for patient outcomes in various medical, surgical and rehabilitation services. This robust offering and holistic approach to patient care enable our team to work closely to ensure our patients receive a bespoke healthcare experience like no other.

It's an exciting time as we celebrate the hospital's history while looking forward to the future with the extension build that commenced in mid-2023.

Our hospital is currently undergoing a redevelopment

Peninsula Private Hospital has commenced a major redevelopment to continue to meet the growing demand for quality healthcare services for Queensland’s Redcliffe peninsula community, located Brisbane’s north.

With new facilities, state-of-the-art technology and the expansion of clinical services, our hospital expansion includes:

  •     four new operating theatres 
  •     two procedure rooms 
  •     new High Dependency Unit
  •     refurbishment of patient wards with single accommodation rooms

The redevelopment is now underway and is due for completion early 2025.
